Book three of Agamemnon Frost
Edgar Mason is losing Agamemnon Frost despite everything they've been through--the passion, the torture, the heat. Frost's fiancée, Theodora, is back, and Mason can feel his lover gravitating toward her. Every day he sees them together, it tears at his heart.
Frost feels raw himself. His brother and sister-in-law are missing, and his guilt about failing to save Theodora from Pandarus eats at him. His feelings for Mason, whom he has put through hell twice already, just twist the screws tighter.
On top of that, Pandarus and the Martians are back to make their final push to Earth, and Frost and Mason are duty bound to fight them. People are vanishing. Bodies are turning up burned beyond recognition in the slums. The bleak, human-less future Frost and Mason saw in the hollow ships has nearly come to pass.
And in order to prevent it, each man will have to make a final choice lose his lover or doom the world.

Agamemnon Frost and the Crown of Towers edition by Kim Knox Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I am very upset with this book... because it was the last time I get to read about Agamemnon frost and Edgar Mason ( . Apart from that I loved the book, it had everything I had come to expect from this excellent trilogy by Kim Knox. Action, pathos, a delightful mix of Victorian London and Science Fiction Martians and all wrapped up in a story of intrigue and romance. I hope that if even one of these points strikes a chord with you that you go and read all three Agamemnon Frost books, It will be well worth it.
This series just got better and better with each installment saving the best for last. Kim Knox has a strong grasp at writing a strong story arc and pacing the tension in her story development. This is what a final book in a series should look like.

I'll stop here to quickly point out that these books are very connected and have to be read in order. The creative world building begins and continues through each book as does the action portion of the plot, the character development and the relationships.

Mason and Frost recently delivered a severe blow to the alien's seeking to take over their planet, but that in no wise makes them confident. People are still disappearing and likely being used in a new Martian scheme, Agamemnon's brother is still under the control of the alien commander, and they have no idea what the Crown of Towers the aliens spoke of is let alone where to find this last piece the aliens are putting in place for victory.

And on a personal note, Mason is in near agony watching Frost now back together with his betrothed, Theodora, knowing that Frost has chosen her over Mason. Even if it weren't for Theodora, Mason is well aware of the difference in their rank and the fact that Agamemnon Frost is brilliant and Mason is just a soldier. Mason isn't allowed to dwell on this for long because the Martians make their move and the duo of Frost and Mason are caught up in the crosshairs. Survival of this last battle is impossible and winning not probable.

This one definitely satisfied and came through on the promises of the first two installments. It brought the final battle into play with the stakes as high and impossible as ever. All that time waiting for something to break in that tension-wrought relationship of covert steamy glances and touches, stolen kisses and agonizing distance at times between Mason and Frost was worth it. I was near tears when Mason made the tough decision to play the hero to save the world if not himself and they only had just that little bit of time left to finally say and do what they wanted instead of shying away because of duty.

I only had one niggle and it was a wee bitty one. I would have liked a bit more fleshing out of the alien stuff in the end because I was still just a bit confused even after the explanation. I got the general idea of what went down, but my curiosity wasn't completely satisfied.

Yep! Definitely one of the best Sci-Fi Romance series I've read. I loved the blend of genres that included the mystery, the steampunk and the sci-fi plus the tip to Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Those who also enjoy the blending of genres and a slow build romance should try these.

My thanks to Net Galley for providing the book for review purposes.
Agamemnon Frost and the Crown of Towers completes the 3 novella series with a satisfying ending to one of the most unique books I have read all year. Part science fiction, part fantasy, part steampunk, part Victorian historical, and with a male-male pairing, this really is a very distinct yet well written series. And it was also pure fun with a great romance!

Kim Knox is known for her erotic fiction and we see that finally in this third book - the development of Mason and Frost's relationship as they rush to save the Earth from the 'Martian' invaders. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but there are even more fantastical and fascinating concepts in book 3 as the boys rush to confront and defeat Panderus. Honestly, there are so many interesting science fictiony type of terms being thrown around that I almost was distracted away from the heart of the book and the romance at the heart. For that reason, though, this was a very satisfying read. Lots of adventure, interesting and new situations, and then the growing attractions and complications of the main characters' feelings for each other.

I'm not typically a fan of Novellas but these were all a good length with a definite arc leading up to the conclusion. If I mark this four stars instead of five, it's only because the writing might be a bit too sparse on the segues and could be filled in a bit more. But don't take that as too much of a detraction - this is a solid 4-1/2 star read for me and I loved every page.

I'm greatly looking forward to Kim Knox's next series!

Received as an ARC from the publisher.
